  • Tyrannosaurus Rex Foot Bone (Metatarsal)
  • Hell Creek Formation, ~68-66 million years old – Carter County, Montana, USA
  • ~2.50 inches long (6.35cm)

This fossil is a fascinating piece of the distal end of a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex foot bone, also known as a metatarsal.  Though it is only the distal end portion, it is identifiable based on the hollowness of the bone (as with most theropods) and the shape, as shown in the figures in the image gallery.

This is a great chance to own a chunk of a real T. rex bone for a low price.

This bone is 100% original with no filling or repair of any kind.

Depending on which bone it is, Tyrannosaurus rex bones (like most other theropods) are usually hollow.  This gives us an additional clue as to how to identify the bone.
