Hadrosaur tooth

Availability: In stock

  • Partial Hadrosaur Tooth Fragment (duck-billed dinosaur)
  • Judith River Formation, ~79-75 million years old – Montana, USA

This top half of a mostly unworn, beautiful hadrosaur tooth that has great preservation.  Nice rich brownish coloration.  This tooth would have come from a juvenile hadrosaur.

This tooth is 100% original with no restoration or filling.  This is the top 50-60% of the tooth.

Hadrosaurs or duck-billed dinosaurs were plant eaters that had large jaws with what are called “dental batteries”.  These dental batteries contained hundreds of teeth in dozens of channeled columns, when one tooth is worn down enough it eventually falls out of the jaw and is replaced by a new unworn tooth.
