Juvenile hadrosaur tooth

Availability: In stock

  • Hadrosaur Tooth (duck-billed dinosaur)
  • Judith River Formation, ~79-75 million years old – Montana, USA
  • .5″ long (1.3cm)

This little hadrosaur tooth has an amazing level of preservation and detail.  It is only slightly worn on the tip.  Nice deep, rich coloration.  This tooth would have come from a juvenile hadrosaur.

This tooth is 100% original with no restoration or filling.  Slight damage around the edges.

Hadrosaurs or duck-billed dinosaurs were plant eaters that had large jaws with what are called “dental batteries”.  These dental batteries contained hundreds of teeth in dozens of channeled columns, when one tooth is worn down enough it eventually falls out of the jaw and is replaced by a new unworn tooth.
